Why Can’t I Concentrate?

Why Can’t I Concentrate?

According to HealthLine, when we’re dealing with major depression episodes it can sometimes become nearly impossible to concentrate on a certain task; whether it’s studying, cooking, watching TV, reading, talking with someone, etc. It can be really uncomfortable and challenging.

why can’t I concentrate

We’re all asking ourselves that same question: why can’t I concentrate? Besides depression and some lack of motivation, here are some things that can trigger that switch of you not wanting to be able to process and digest a certain situation. These struggles may include:

  • Medication
  • Anxiety
  • Distractions
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Chronic illness
  • Tiredness
  • Stress
  • Substance abuse
  • Learning disability
  • Depression
  • Family problems
  • Trauma

Among other things.

Why Do I Feel Like This?

Attention levels can be overwhelming when you’re not sure of the causes that are making you feel so unease, and it’s okay to feel that way. I’m pretty sure a huge percentage of us have felt like this, sometime in our lives, but we have managed to keep pushing forwards.

Feeling like you’re unable to concentrate can often make you feel unsure, as a failure and disappointed in yourself because you think there’s no way of reaching that stage of success in your life. Concentration problems not only affect the elderly but they also affect the younger generation. The younger generation are forced to work an unbearable amount of hours for a minimum wage, have a college degree, have a family, a social life, etc, but that alone can lead to serious complications of the persons’ mental health and well-being.

why can’t I concentrate

Let’s not forget that being a survivor of child abuse as a kid who was barely growing and exploring what they thought life was supposed to be, but instead, they ended up on the wrong side of parenting, which is never the child’s fault, basic human needs are supposed to be provided by the people who brought you into this world and it doesn’t need to feel like it’s something that you need to work towards.

Personally, I don’t like the definition of mental illness as a “chemical imbalance” because there is always something that triggers that small part in our brains that pushes us towards aiming for defense. Mentally ill individuals have a high tendency of not being able to concentrate. That happens to me all of the time. When I was younger I could finish a book in 2-3 days, now, I can barely pass the introduction page without feeling like I’m zooming out. It may seem like “it’s not that serious” but believe me, it’s a daily struggle.

What To Do?

I am not going to be talking about meditation, going out for a walk or any methods that state that they will clear your mind, as if it was that easy, but instead, I will share with you some of the products that have actually worked really well on an immense amount of people.

  1. Vital Vitamins

Why can’t I concentrate

Vital Vitamins are a brain supplement booster that will help you focus on everyday tasks. These capsules help you have better mental clarity, alertness, a good mood, and a better focus.

Vital Vitamins also helps you by:

  • Reducing Fatigue
  • Supporting reasoning and brain health
  • It boosts your cognitive function
  • You feel calmer
  • It can help you have a better goodnight sleep

Some of its ingredients include: Vitamin B12, Rhodiola Rosea Extract, Bacopa Monnieri Extract, Rice Flour, among others.

2. FOCUSAID Energy Blend

Concentration

Personally, I’m not so much into energy drinks because I’m scared of the effects they may have on my body, but with the FOCUSAID Energy Blend, I didn’t have that problem because they’re not exactly “energy-based drinks” that will keep you up and being active all day long.

This blend provides pure clean energy and sustenance for your brain to push your body towards a better sense of focus and it also helps you to remain focused on your objective. Whether you have a college assignment, work-related projects, its finals week, you may be up late reading a book from which you can’t concentrate, or maybe you need a pre-workout concentration booster without any uneasiness – then this is the product you may consider getting your hands on.

Some of its ingredients include:

  • Nootropics, GABA
  • Alpha-GPC, Green Tea
  • American Ginseng
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine
  • Rhodiola Rosea
  • Full B-Complex
  • Vitamins C & D
  • Yerba Mate

As I said before, this is NOT an energy drink. This blend aims towards your Mental Acuity, Focus, Concentration, Memory and overall energy. It only contains 45 calories! It is also lightly carbonated, which gives it a fusion tea flavor.

3. Brain Support

Mood booster review

These supplements are made to stimulate your communication skills, amplify your learning experiences and to help you have better access to memories that can be stuck way behind your subconscious.

Some of my favorite things about the Brain Support supplements are:

  • It’s none-GMO, which is extremely crucial if we don’t want to have a large intake of chemicals and other synthetic solutions that most companies add to their products to damage our bodies
  • It has no gluten, soy, dairy, egg, fish, tree nuts, & no artificial colors or flavors
  • It is actually FDA-approved, so we know this is a legit product

Some of its ingredients include:

  • Alpha GPS – Which supports your cognitive acuity
  • Huperzine A – It supports learning and memory
  • Suntheanine L-Theanine – Which is clinically proven to improve memory and cognitive function
  • Bacopa – Supports cognition, communication and synaptic

It’s Never As Simple As It Sounds

I’m not a doctor, nor a professional mental health specialist, but I always try to do my best whenever I’m providing information to you. I want to bring you actual and helpful information for said problem that you may be dealing with because again, I know what it is like to feel this way and to have to experience all of these concentration difficulties.

Please keep in mind that if none of these products helps you in any way, then contact your doctor because the lack of concentration is different for everyone. We don’t all go through the same things and our own individual situations may need a more in-depth professional treatment. What works for me may not work for absolutely everyone.

Always remember to keep your mental state in check!

  1. Supplements are the best when it comes to getting the right with achieving the proper focus level. Often, depression leads to quite a lot more and makes it very difficult and strenuous for us to do or engage in. Thank you for sharing the details in here. Whenever u have worked for more than two hours, it becomes increasingly difficult for me to concentrate. Hence, this is a great post here and one that I will benefit from immensely

    1. A persons level of concentration is crucially important depending on what they do or how their lifestyles flow. I’m glad I can be some type of help. Good luck on this journey.
